Kathryn Risch, QPA, QKA, QPFC, CRC®

Kathryn began her professional career with Emjay and Milliman USA in Wisconsin then relocated to Kennewick and first joined Petersen Hastings in October 1992. She worked closely with the Investment Advisers and staff to establish clearly defined policies and procedures to implement the appropriate controls for administering first-class qualified retirement plans.

Kathryn left Petersen Hastings in 1999 to pursue other career interests, but returned in November 2006 and currently works from Virginia. As an Advisor Services team member, she works closely with qualified retirement plan sponsors, trustees, participants, government agencies, ERISA attorneys, and third party administrators to promote retirement benefits in a culture of fiduciary responsibility. She has an extensive background in managing all aspects of qualified retirement administration including cultivating cohesive and effective teams by championing quality and building a depth of expertise.

Kathryn earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She holds the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries designations of Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC), and the International Foundation for Retirement Education (InFRE) designation of Certified Retirement Counselor ® (CRC ®).

Kathryn has served our community through the American Red Cross as a Disaster Services Volunteer and member of the American Red Cross Real Heroes Breakfast Fundraiser Planning Committee.
